The Mentholatum Company - Australasia is accepting bids for Pregnancy Tests. The term of this award covers
an initial 5-year period plus subsequent 2-year extensions, as agreed-to between
Buyer and Seller, provided performance and pricing is on
track.
Please read this complete
ebid,
all email notices, and the Sorcity Member Agreement, in full, so you understand
the bid guidelines and are properly prepared to bid if your company
qualifies and would like to gain this business.
Although price is an important element of this award, this is not a price-only
decision. Other factors to be considered include: quality, service-levels,
responsiveness, acceptance of Buyer's terms and conditions,
relationship, and testing results. After the bidding ends, the Buyer may contact several low
bidders to further understand their capabilities and additional benefits you
might have to offer, before an award is
made (see Key Dates below). This is also an opportunity to begin
establishing relationships. The anticipated start date for this award is
November, 2017.

effort to meet or exceed the dollar amount awarded for goods in this general

Upon registration and further qualification by Sorcity, we will provide you
samples of the Pregnancy Test items listed. Please email your complete shipping

Due to Supplier optimizations over time, or changes within the Buyer's
process, or other unknown factors, the Supplier should factor in
accommodating a couple of changes during the term, without the change
impacting price, provided that the change needed is relatively equivalent to
the current need. Where the change is not equivalent to the current need,
the price increases or decreases must be equivalent in discount to the
discount provided in this bid and not marked up. Supplier will provide
transparent analysis to support the change and the Buyer maintains the right
to compare that change with the market prices.
Buyer is requesting Bidder's best price in the bid to include:
rebates, allowances, and other incentive programs. The Buyer does not want
these other incentive programs in addition to the price, but rather included
as part a best-price bid. This eliminates tracking and auditing of these
ancillary programs and provides straightforward pricing.
Line Item Worksheet:
You must sign and return the
Mentholatum - Australasia Non-Disclosure Agreement as
described below in order to receive the Line Item Worksheet, which includes
drawings and specifications.
Sorcity is will provide you with the Line Item
Worksheet as one of the bid documents, once you have sent in your NDA, to list your per unit pricing, which will automatically calculate the
“Total” bid price. Only the “Total” from the Worksheet may be entered as
your bid in the online Event. Do not attempt to enter line item prices online or your bid will be
inaccurate.
The estimated quantities listed in the Line
Item Worksheet are three (5) year totals, not annual quantities, and are
expected to be the minimum purchasing requirements during the next 3-years,
based on forecasted market demand.
Be
sure to
save the Line Item Worksheet to your desktop first, and then use it to
work up your Bid. This will allow you to promptly return your
completed copy of the
worksheet once the bidding ends.
Follow
the instructions, which include filling in all items highlighted in green
such as your Dun & Bradstreet number and Unit Prices where noted, as it is
part of your reply to this bid package.
In
order to avoid mistakes and ensure that the ebid Opening Bid value
accommodates your pricing, you must email your initial pricing in the Line
Item Worksheet to Sorcity at least 2-days prior to opening bid day online
(see Key Dates below).
YOUR
COMPLETED FINAL LINE ITEM WORKSHEET IS A REQUIREMENT AND MUST BE RETURNED TO
SORCITY WITHIN (1) HOUR AFTER THE BID ENDS, regardless of your bid position. Failure to do so may render your
bid unacceptable and invoke penalties.
IF BIDDING IN AUSTRALIA DOLLAR, enter your Per Unit
Pricing in the Australia Dollar column. For the
purpose of this bid, the Exchange Rate used for the conversion will be
1.2679 AUDU.S. Dollars dated September 17, 2015
and will calculate the Grand Total automatically. Your Per Unit Pricing will
be in Australia Dollar, however, the Grand Total, which will also be the bid
you place online, will be in U.S. Dollars. This exchange rate is for bidding
purposes only and the actual final price will be adjusted for the current
exchange rate once the award commences.
REQUIREMENTS specific to this purchase:
Pregnancy Test able to detect at least 25 mIU hCG/mL in urine
Meets the classification requirements of a Class 2 IVD Medical Device
Packaged in a sealed foil pouch with batch number and
expiration date marked on each pouch (per the sample you will be sent
once your return the signed NDA)
Supplier must be able to provide supporting data that their product is
approved to allow Mentholatum to gain
approval of product by the TGA. This includes valid conformity
assessment certificate, test data to support hCG detection claims (includes
accuracy, repeatability, performance validation, sensitivity, and
stability), certification of compliance of manufacturing site with ISO 13485.

prefers payment terms of Net 60 Days
Current lead-time is 120 days
(from order placement to receipt), however special consideration will be
given to those who can improve on lead time
Sample Pregnancy Tests will
be required after the bidding ends for testing and quality assurance, per
the Key Dates above (Requested and Received), if you are not currently
providing this to the Buyer. Buyer will require six (6) Pregnancy Tests for this purpose, which are to be provided at no cost to the Buyer.

The testing process can take
3-4 months before the award can be made. The manufacturer’s name must
appear on all packaging.
For
product/service changes that are needed, the Buyer has the right to conduct
a market comparison to
confirm price changes and discounts are consistent. If a change is
found to be inconsistent, or is not in line with the market comparison, it can be grounds
for award termination based on supplier performance.
Buyer
may terminate this contract, or any part thereof, based on Supplier
performance issues, by written notice (60) days in advance, provided the
issues identified by the Buyer are not corrected to the satisfaction of the
Buyer within (60) days from the occurrence.
Price Fluctuation: Based on the possibilities of price change on the
commodity used in this product, the Buyer agrees to a price
increase/decrease evaluation at each 12-month period, following an initial
12-month period from the date of first order, based upon a mutually
agreeable industry index and formula. Buyer and Supplier (you) will
agree on this formula to be used, before the award is finalized. You
will provide in the Line Item Worksheet, where noted, your proposed
formula used to bid, which may be modified by mutual agreement post-bid
and documented. Price changes proposed must be made to Sorcity and the
Buyer by email no less than 21-days prior to the end of each 12-month
period. Price increases must be based on factors outside of your company’s
control, such as government wage increases, tax rate increases, insurance
rate increases, pure commodity price increases, etc., but should be in
alignment with the market at large or may be considered a Supplier
performance problem. Any price change proposed must be accompanied with
verifiable documentation justifying a change. Failure to provide price
decreases on time will result in such decreases to be retroactive to the
beginning of the perspective period where those reductions should have taken
effect and the delay may constitute a Supplier performance problem.
